Not-for-profit

Making chess tournaments easier to run

Way2Chess is a community project that helps organizers in Windsor-Essex run smooth, well-organized chess tournaments, so players can focus on the game.

Who we are

Way2Chess is a not-for-profit initiative built by chess enthusiasts in the Windsor-Essex region. We don't charge for what we do. Our goal is simple: support local chess by taking the administrative headache out of running tournaments, from registration and pairings to live results and final standings.

What we do

We provide the tools and hands-on help organizers need on tournament day.

โ™Ÿ๏ธ

Tournament organization

We work alongside local organizers to plan and run events, whether it's a small club event or a large multi-section tournament.

๐Ÿ”€

Pairings

Support for both round-robin and Swiss-system formats, with pairings published round by round.

๐Ÿ“Š

Live results & standings

Players, parents and spectators can follow results and standings online as games finish.

๐Ÿค

Scorekeeping support

Organizers and scorekeepers get simple tools to record results quickly and accurately.

Supporting the Windsor Chess Challenge

We were proud to help the Windsor Chess Challenge run their tournament. Way2Chess handled the behind-the-scenes work, managing sections, generating pairings and publishing results, so organizers could spend their time with players and families instead of spreadsheets.

Events like the Windsor Chess Challenge are exactly why we exist: to help grow a strong, welcoming chess community here in Windsor-Essex.
